technology get through projects that were in a "stuck" state or
needed engineering to better the standards. ·
Helped senior leadership and management with insight on
maintaining human errors. Trained technicians on new products and standards.
End to end project management including project plans and estimates using the
5 PMI steps. ·
Responsible for reporting project plans, financials, and
improvement documentation to upper and executive management. ·Worked alongside a SWA Facilities department who drove large scale
renovations and new construction projects including IT infrastructure
overhauls for the SWA headquarter buildings as well as the twenty two sites
across the country I was in charge of managing. Projects ranged up to
$30,000,000.00. ·Project Managed the Time Warner Cable new infrastructure build at the
SWA HDQ building from start to finish including researching to find the
technical sales manager through knowing contractors, site survey with TWC,
engineered documentation and floor plans, audited the entire building of all
existing CATV drops to working TV's, toned and labeled cables, installed
lockable cabs with patch panels and rebuilt taps with jumpers to panels,
worked with TWC to get the drop per outlet cost down and build in a low
construction cost of a whole new CATV backbone infrastructure including a new
node and new OSP to ISP fiber run. Worked
with both SWA and TWC legal teams and held weekly meetings to hash out any
discrepancies and pricing plans. Took
agreed contract proposals up to senior leadership for signatures and training
on new system. Created
a tracking data sheet which tracked all the db levels and kept a total count
ready for any TWC audit. Created a floor plan which showed the location of every
working and de-installed drop in the building. Trained
the entire technical service department on the new system, the new tracking
data sheet, and the new floor plans to keep the system operating properly.
Managed the TWC installers from ODP to cable pullers to terminators, to
testers, and saw to it to have a professional install. Did a final walk /
sign off with TWC management. Previous
attempts failed to negotiate a build and SWA attempted to get a new service
upgraded 3 years before me and failed. ·Designed and project managed unified communications installations
which involved video conferencing and interactive white boards and monitors
in conference rooms at headquarters and remote locations. ·In charge of upgrading existing Key and PBX phones and systems to
Cisco VoIP. Upgraded sites such as LAX with 300 plus phones, BWI 150 phones,
and HDQ building 1200 plus phones. Worked with Cisco engineering and telecom
teams to design systems and roll outs and manage technicians and
sub-contractors out in the field. Project managed the conversions. ·Ordered all user and station equipment including, network switches
and routers, PC's and kiosks, phones analog and digital, radio equipment and
